【我們沒有 play computer 這個說法！！！】
啊，最近聽到了幾個 play computer, 像今天的...
X My husband just wanted to play computer, and he ignored me!
我想她要說的應該是:「我的先生只顧玩電腦，都不理我。」
問題是，英文就是沒有這個說法！
為什麼呢？沒有為什麼！我們就是沒有說 play computer 的習慣！沒有人說，那就是不正確的英文。
你就是要換一句話。其實有很多選擇。如果是做比較「有用」的事，像工作、研究、安排旅遊、訂購貨物、找醫療資料等，會說：
I'm going to use the computer.（我要用電腦。）
如果只是隨便上網，會說：
I'm going to surf the internet.
或
I'm going to surf the net.
（我要上網。字面上，是「網路衝浪」的意思。）net 只是 internet 的縮寫。
如果真的是玩電動，應該說：
I'm going to play computer games. (需要那個 games.)
一般的玩 (不一定是電動的話) 也可以說：
I'm going to play on the computer.
(注意，加那個 on the 就行了，play computer 還是不行！)
那，上面的「例錯」正確說法應該是：
√ My husband just wanted to play on the computer, and he ignored me!
